Vasectomy Treatment

Vasectomy is an outpatient procedure for male sterilization and/or permanent birth control. During this process, the male’s vas deferens (the tube that allows sperm to travel from the testicles to the penis) are severed and then tied/sealed to prevent sperm from mixing with the ejaculated semen, preventing fertilization from occurring. The vas deferens are placed back inside the scrotum and testicles continue to produce sperm, but they are reabsorbed by the body.
