What all is Atlantic immigration Pilot Program (AIPP)

Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program is a newly created pathway for Skilled Workers and International Graduates willing to work and settle in the Atlantic provinces of Canada. It includes the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick. It is a highly beneficial pathway for the applicants living abroad, or they are already living in Canada temporarily.

One of the mandatory condition under the AIPP Program is of having a valid job offer from a designated employer to be considered in the program.

There are three streams of selection under the AIPP program, and also there are different eligibility requirements for different selection categories –

  • International Graduate Program
  • Atlantic High Skilled Program
  • Atlantic Intermediate Skilled program

What are the steps for Immigration through AIPP?

  1. Check eligibility for the section under one of the three programs
  2.  Get a Job offer if you are applying under a Highly Skilled or intermediate Skilled program. In the case of an International graduate planning to migrate through the AIPP Program, one doesn’t require work experience
  3.  Get the documentation
  4. Get a Settlement Service provider organizer that will assist you in getting a new life
  5. Apply for Permanent residency

What are the Eligibility Requirements for the International Graduate Program?

  • the applicant should have a valid two-year post-secondary diploma from a publicly funded institution in an Atlantic province
  • the applicant should have lived in Atlantic Canada for at least 16 months in two years before getting the degree/ diploma/ certificate
  • the candidates should have a CLB of 4 in English and test should not be more than two years’ old
  • the candidate should have sufficient funds

What are the Eligibility Requirements for Atlantic High Skilled Program?

  • the candidate should have at least 1560 Working hours in the past three years. With work experience in any NOC O, A or B
  • the candidates should have Canadian Secondary or Post-secondary credential from a recognized institution and should have an ECA done showing that the qualification is as per Canadian standards
  • the candidates should have a CLB of 4 in English and test should not be more than two years’ old
  • the candidate should have sufficient funds

What are the Eligibility Requirements of the Atlantic Intermediate Skilled Program?

  • the candidate should have at least 1560 Working hours in the past three years. With work experience in any NOC O, A or B
  • the candidates should have Canadian Secondary or Post-secondary credential from a recognized institution and should have an ECA done showing that the qualification is as per Canadian standards.
  • the candidates should have a CLB of 4 in English and test should not be more than two years’ old
  • the candidate should have sufficient funds

The applicant is allowed to move to Other provinces after six months in the Atlantic province, which has granted him residency status.
